Tiny Yarns Returns & Refund Policy

At Tiny Yarns, we take great care in designing and packaging every order to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition. We stand behind the quality of our products and are committed to resolving any genuine issues promptly and fairly.

This Returns & Refund Policy operates alongside your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).


1. Returns Policy

Tiny Yarns does not accept returns or provide refunds for change of mind.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Ordering the wrong size, colour or product.

  • Deciding you no longer want the item.

  • Purchasing an item by mistake.

  • Finding the item elsewhere after purchase.

  • The product has been supplied as described, matches the images and specifications on our website, and is free from manufacturing defects.

We encourage customers to carefully review product descriptions, dimensions and images before placing an order.

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.


2. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items

If you receive an item that is:

  • Faulty due to a manufacturing defect;

  • Damaged upon arrival; or

  • Incorrect (you received a different item from what you ordered),

please contact us within 30 days of delivery by emailing admin@tinyyarns.com.au.

For the fastest resolution, please include:

  • Your order number

  • A description of the issue

  • Clear photographs showing the fault or damage

While we ask customers to notify us within 30 days of delivery, this request does not affect or limit any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Where a product is confirmed to be faulty, damaged or incorrect, Tiny Yarns will provide an appropriate remedy, which may include:

  • A replacement;

  • A repair (where appropriate); or

  • A refund.

Tiny Yarns will cover reasonable return shipping costs for approved faulty or incorrect items.


3. What Is Considered a Fault?

Examples of genuine manufacturing faults include:

  • Holes or tears present upon delivery

  • Faulty stitching or seams

  • Broken snaps, buttons or zippers upon first use

  • Manufacturing defects affecting the normal use of the product

The following are not considered manufacturing faults:

  • Minor colour differences caused by screen settings or photography

  • Slight variations in print placement

  • Natural variations in fabric texture, knit or weave

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Pilling after use

  • Damage caused by incorrect washing, drying or misuse

  • Minor loose threads that do not affect the functionality of the product

Each return request is assessed individually.


4. Natural Materials & Product Variations

Many Tiny Yarns products are made using natural fibres, organic materials and small-batch manufacturing techniques.

As a result, slight variations in:

  • Colour

  • Print placement

  • Fabric texture

  • Knit pattern

  • Weave

  • Stitch positioning

are considered normal characteristics of handcrafted products and are not defects.

Colours may also vary slightly between devices due to screen settings and lighting conditions used during photography.


5. Personalised & Non-Returnable Items

Unless required under the Australian Consumer Law, we cannot accept returns for:

  • Personalised or custom-made products

  • Embroidered or monogrammed items

  • Clearance or Final Sale items clearly marked as non-returnable

  • Opened hygiene-sensitive products where the safety seal has been broken


6. Damaged During Transit

If your parcel arrives visibly damaged, please:

  • Take photographs of the outer packaging before opening where possible.

  • Photograph any damaged contents.

  • Contact us as soon as practical after delivery.

This allows us to work with the shipping carrier to investigate the issue promptly.


7. Return Process

If your item is faulty, damaged or incorrect:

Step 1 – Email admin@tinyyarns.com.au with your order number, description of the issue and photographs.

Step 2 – Our team will review your request and respond within 2 business days.

Step 3 – If a return is required, we will provide instructions, including the appropriate return address.

Please do not return products without prior approval, as this may delay processing.


8. Refunds

Once a returned item has been received and inspected, we will notify you of the outcome within 3 business days.

If your refund is approved, it will be processed to your original payment method within 10 business days.

Depending on your financial institution, additional processing time may apply.

Where applicable, original shipping charges will also be refunded if the return is due to our error or a confirmed faulty product.


9. Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
